SEOUL, KOREA – SK Telecom announced that it struck a contract with InsightLab to develop and provide “Redbean 13,” a total solution designed to improve web accessibility and build and manage websites.
The signing of the contract came as a response to the scheduled enactment of a law that will require companies to make their websites friendlier to the visually impaired and blind and the deaf.
SK Telecom looks to develop Redbean 13 in the form of a cloud-type service in the first quarter of this year and then provide it to Korean SMEs on a fixed monthly payment basis.
Observing web accessibility guidelines from the very beginning of website creation, Redbean 13 will help SMEs build their websites in a faster, easier fashion. Also, it is designed to make the process of website modifications more time- and cost-efficient.
Redbean 13 also furnishes support for the latest trends such as mobile webs.
SK Telecom will simultaneously release “Redbean13-WAI,” suitable for companies wishing to improve only the web accessibility of their existing websites.
