SEOUL, KOREA - The last strikes of this bloody cold winter are still fierce in Korea, but we can sense that next spring is just around the corner as we see trees on the streets are awakening. And here’s a nice movie from Taiwan which is eager to touch audiences’ sense of hearing and to heat up their hearts.

Touch of the Light is a movie based on true events related to a Taiwanese blinded pianist named Yu-Siang Haung who played himself in the movie. The movie follows his determined life journey for music in spite of harsh realities, and his discovery and love in life through a friendship with a girl at drink shop who dreams of being a dancer.
The beauty of the movie is in all the sounds which he created with piano and sights which he cannot see but feel with us. And his fearless passion for music is so pure and powerful enough not only to inspire the girl at drink shop, but also to rekindle audiences’ hearts in this freezing winter.
The movie was submitted as the Taiwanese entry for the Best Foreign Language Oscar at the 85th Academy Awards, and also received Audience Award at the 17th Busan International Film Festival. Touch of the Light is scheduled to open in local theaters on 14TH March in Korea.
