SEOUL, KOREA - LG Electronics is going to make public its new three types of ‘L Series 2’ smartphones at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2013 to be held in Barcelona, Spain on 25th (local time).
The new products to be released are ‘Optimus L3 2’, ‘Optimus L5 2’ and ‘Optimus L7 2’
These new ‘L Series 2’ smartphones are followed by ‘L series’ that was first revealed at MWC2012 last year. Compared with their predecessors, the new smart gadgets are equipped with far better design, hardware, user experience (UX) and others. After its first launch in March of the previous year, LG sold more than 10 million ‘L Series’ phones for the last 10 months.
‘L Series 2’ phone lines are applied with LG’s unique design of ‘L style’ and have features of smart LED home button, seamless layout, detailed finish through laser cutting process and harmony between the simple and clean front and delicately glittering back.
The new series lines are coming with Dual SIM function with which a single mobile phone can be used for both private affairs and office work and have different numbers designated depending on telecommunications service providers.

LG전자가 25일(현지시각) 스페인 바르셀로나에서 개막하는 모바일 월드 콩그레스(MWC) 2013에서 `L시리즈2` 스마트폰 3종을 전격 공개한다.
이번에 공개하는 L시리즈2는 `옵티머스L3 2`, `옵티머스L5 2`, `옵티머스L7 2` 3종이다.
L시리즈2는 지난해 MWC2012에서 처음 공개된 L시리즈의 후속 제품이다. 전작에 비해 디자인, 하드웨어, 사용자 경험(UX) 등이 대폭 강화됐다. L시리즈는 지난해 3월 첫 출시 후 10개월 만에 1000만대 판매를 돌파했다.
L시리즈2는 LG전자만의 독창적 디자인 `L스타일`을 적용했고 △스마트 LED 홈 버튼 △이음매 없는 매끈한 레이아웃 △레이저 커팅 공법 적용으로 섬세한 마감처리 △심플하고 깨끗한 전면과 은은하게 반짝이는 후면의 조화 등의 디자인 요소를 강조한 것이 특징이다.
L시리즈2는 듀얼심(Dual SIM) 버전을 함께 선보인다. 듀얼심은 하나의 휴대폰으로 개인용, 업무용은 물론이고 통신사에 따라서도 별도 번호지정이 가능한 기능이다.
L시리즈2 라인업 중 가장 먼저 출시되는 `옵티머스L7 2`는 9.7㎜의 얇은 두께에 4.3인치 WVGA 디스플레이를 탑재했다. 또 2460㎃h의 대용량 배터리를 적용해 사용편의성도 강화했다. 옵티머스L7 2는 오는 16일부터 러시아 시장에 출시된다. 옵티머스L3 2와 옵티머스L5 2는 안드로이드 4.1 젤리빈 운용체계를 기본 적용했고 각각 3.2인치, 4인치 디스플레이와 1540㎃h, 1700㎃h의 배터리를 탑재했다.
박종석 LG전자 MC사업본부장 부사장은 “L시리즈의 성공체험은 LG의 차별화된 디자인 전략이 빛을 발한 것”이라며 “이번 `L시리즈2` 출시를 바탕으로 3G시장 대표 라인업으로 지속 발전될 수 있도록 할 것”이라고 강조했다.
