SEOUL, KOREA – This week, the top spots in both free and fee-based app categories were taken by CJ E&M’s apps. The top finisher in Google Play’s free app category was “Dahamggye Pong Pong Pong,” a mobile game for Kakao in which cute kitty characters play five simple mini games (e.g. Rhythm Pong and Catch Pong), the scores of which are combined to rank players.
The No.1 in the fee-based app category was “Reverse,” an action adventure MMORPG that is gaining much popularity thanks to its unprecedented, unique content - for instance, players can reverse maps by themselves.
Topping the free business app list was “Hancom Office Hangul Viewer,” a must-have app for viewing Hangul files supports not only file extension “hwp” but also other formats. In the free photo app category, PhotoWonder, developed by China’s biggest portal Baidu, overtook Filter Camera (last week’s winner) to become the No.1.
