SEOUL, KOREA – On Thursday, Korea Medical Devices Industrial Coop. Association (KMDICA) said it participated in the 2013 Western Veterinary Conference (WVC) in Las Vegas, held at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center from February 18 through 20, to pave the way for the exports of Korean medical devices to the US market.
The WVC is one of the US’s biggest veterinarians’ societies along with North American Veterinary Conference (NAVC) in Orlando.
According to the KMDICA, at the Korean Pavilion of the WVC 2013, a team of 10 Korean companies including Dong Kang Medical Systems Co. and four other Korean companies like JPI Healthcare put on view numerous medical devices such as electrolyte analyzers, laser operating machines, oxygen saturation gaugers, medical hand pieces, and diagnostic X-ray systems. The KMDICA said, nearly 1,000 of the WVC 2013’s total 20,000 visitors paid a visit to the Korean Pavilion and a total of 315 business consultations were held. The participating Korean companies won contracts worth USD 598,000, up from last year’s USD 520,000.
