SEOUL, KOREA – NEXON, a Korean purveyor of free-to-play online games, has made a strategic investment in Robotoki (a Los Angeles-based game development studio led by Robert Bowling) in a bid to obtain cross-platform games.
Tight-lipped about the detailed terms of Nexon’s investment, Seung-woo Choi (CEO of Nexon Japan) said on Monday, "We have invested in Robotoki led by Robert Bowling, one of the key developers of the Call of Duty series.
By doing so, Nexon will team up with Nexon to develop future games based on Robotoki’s multi-screen, multi-platform technologies.
"Robert Bowling’s creativity and talent has been evidenced by his track record of success, and we are looking forward to joining forces with Robotoki to deliver ingenious, multi-dimensional gaming experiences to consumers in North America and around the globe,” said CEO Choi.
