The Incheon IT Promotion Agency is working to expand its “Dream sketch” program. In the program, various experts provide lectures to students at specialized high schools to expand their knowledge of technology and increase the national employment rate.
There are two programs; one is for liaising between students and a variety of specialists who offer lectures about their experience and knowledge of the work field. The second program comprises a field trip structure that gives students an opportunity to experience real work situations related to what they are taught by visiting companies.

The pilot project involved 16 lectures (a total of 4,188 students participated) in 13 specialized high schools last year, and executed 4 field trips, to companies such as Hyundai-steel, Kortek, etc. Based on the popularity of this program last year, this year the number of participating schools will be extended from 13 to 20.
Recently, 10 specialized high schools requested to engage in the lectures in the first half of the year, while the last 10 will join in the second half. It starts on the 4th of April, at Incheon Information Technology High School, and continues on the 15th at YeongJong International Logistics High School. Lee Chul Jong, Incheon International logistics Center president, will give a lesson titled ‘Career path of logistics experts and the way of self-improvement’.
