SEOUL, KOREA – LG CNS said Sunday it signed a contract to provide Pos Malaysia with “VIVAPOST,” a solution that tracks and controls logistics information related to postal services. Pos Malaysia, a government-owned post services company in Malaysia, will apply VIVAPOST to its postal information system building project that is scheduled for completion in 2014.
Korea Post, the national postal service of South Korea, offered a helping hand to LG CNS striking the deal. The excellence of LG CNS’s solution has been introduced at numerous international exhibitions. National IT Industry Promotion Agency (NIPA) also assisted LG CNS in constructing a solution package for Pos Malaysia.
Leveraging expertise obtained from 10 years of solution building and maintenance work for Korea Post, LG CNS beat out Japanese and Netherland competitors to finish first in technology evaluations. LG CNS plans to expand its export markets to Vietnam and Thailand. “Government support is needed for LG CNS to continue exports of e-government solutions,” said Kim Han-soo, director at LG CNS’s public business division.

LG CNS, 말레이시아 우정공사 우편물류 솔루션 수출
LG CNS는 우편물류정보관리솔루션인 `비바포스트`를 말레이시아 우정공사에 수출했다고 28일 밝혔다. 비바포스트는 우편 흐름에 따라 발생하는 물류 정보를 추적, 통제하는 솔루션이다. 말레이시아 우정공사는 2014년 완료 예정인 우체국정보시스템 구축 사업에 적용한다.
이번 수출을 위해 우정사업본부도 적극 지원했다. 다수의 국제회의와 전시회에서 솔루션의 우수성을 알렸다. 정보통신산업진흥원도 말레이시아 우정공사 수출에 필요한 솔루션 패키지 구성을 도왔다.
LG CNS는 10년간 우정사업본부 솔루션 구축과 유지보수 업무 수행 경험을 기반으로 네덜란드와 일본 기업을 제치고 기술평가에서 1위를 차지했다. 향후 베트남, 태국 등 수출지역을 확대할 계획이다. 김한수 LG CNS 공공1사업부 상무는 “전자정부 솔루션을 지속적으로 수출할 수 있도록 정부 지원이 필요하다”고 말했다.
