World Cruise Ships Calling at Busan Port
The Sapphire Princess, 110,000 tons of the world's best cruise ship called at Busan Port on Friday, October 20.
According to Busan Port Authority (BPA), the Sapphire Princess with 2,600 passengers shipped at Pier 2 in Busan Port. After arriving at Busan Port, the passengers toured downtown and tourist attractions in Busan and the cruise ship departed to the port of Shanghai in China late Friday.
BPA held a welcoming ceremony for the premier cruise ship upon her visit to Busan Port and promoted the New International Cruise Terminal slated to open at the end of this year.
The Sapphire Princess which called at the largest port in Korea three times last year made this year's first calling at Busan Port in October 8 and she will call at Busan Port in October 29 again.
Also, ASUKA 48,000 tons of Japanese cruise ship visited Busan Port with 700 passengers boarding in October 19. Tae Han, Choi, a director of Customer Service Center of BPA said that as the city of Busan is emerging as an international city by holding Asian Games and APEC Summit, many cruise ships have called at Busan Port, adding BPA will make constant efforts to attract more cruise vessels and to promote the New International Cruise Terminal.
