SEOUL, KOREA - Com2uS, a Korean mobile game developer, announced on May 6 that it posted sales of 249 billion won for the first quarter of this year on the K-IFRS consolidated basis, with an operating profit of 5.1 billion won and a net profit of 8.6 billion won.
Its first-quarter sales reached a record high of 24.9 billion won, up 121 percent from a year ago. Operating profits and net profits were up 1,462 percent and 120 percent, respectively, year on year.
By business area, its domestic mobile sales reached 18.3 billion won, up 274 percent from a year ago, while the overseas mobile sales remained strong at 5.4 billion won.
The robust growth in domestic mobile sales was driven mainly by a rise in sales through the Kakao Game Center. Its new games such as Heroes War for Kakao and its existing games, including Tiny Farm and Com2uS Battle, achieved a stable growth in sales, contributing to the rapid growth in the company's overall sales.
