KTF Announces its Financial Results for Third Quarter of 2006 The company posted a net income of 98.1 billion Korean won (US$ 97.1 million), a service income of 1.28 trillion Korean won (US$1.17 billion), operating income of 164.1 billion Korean won (US$158.1 million), current profit of 126.2 billion Korean won (US$114.5 million) last October 30. Operating margins are enhanced 7.5% points from the previous quarter and current margins by 25.9% from the previous quarter. But decreased operating margins are - 17.1% and net profit is -13.2% from the previous year respectively. Wireless date service profits recorded 182.3 billion Korean won (US$179.1 million) in the third quarter of 2006. And owing to brisk use of SMS text messages, 'Do si rak,' a music content download service and K-ways, a navigation service, profits of wireless internet content has been increasing continuously. It seems KTF's Internet Contents businss can fill a main role for this company as the service has been shown remarkable progress.
