Spotlight / Asiana Airlines Asiana Airlines proudly introduced its new livery aircraft today in celebration of Asiana's 18th anniversary of its foundation and in association with the new corporate identity that Kumho Asiana Group, the parent company of Asiana Airlines, has released earlier this year. Asiana plans to complete its painting conversion process of the remaining 60 international air-carriers within a 5 year period. Asiana Airlines rolled out its newly designed B777 livery aircraft on the 26th of October at 11:00am at Asiana's hub airport, Incheon International. The officials attending the ceremony were Vice-Chairman and CEO of Asiana Airlines Park Chan-bup; Kang Joo-an, President and COO of Asiana; Shin Dongchun, Commissioner to Seoul Regional Aviation Administration; Park Keun-hae, Vice President of Incheon International Airport Corporation; and Park Jae-hong, director general of Incheon International Airport Customs. With Kumho Asiana Group's release of the new corporate identity Wing earlier this year, Asiana Airlines, has been busy preparing a new livery design for our aircraft that both represents the previous images of Asiana's Saekdong . rainbow shaped image . mark and also the new Wing. After eight months of intensive research and designing the aircraft's livery in multiple ways, Asiana has now come out with an exceptional new design that has been painted on one of our B777 aircraft. This new livery carrier started its maiden voyage to Narita, Japan on the 27th as flight number OZ104. The features of the new livery include a new color variation of cool gray in contrast to the current dark gray, the merging of images from the present Saekdong mark that represents Asiana, and the integration of the new logo that our parent company, Kumho Asiana Group, released earlier this February. Also the new theme Energy of Saekdong will be adapted not only on the tails of our carriers but in print materials, signs, and other areas to show the true change of our corporate mark. Especially, with the introduction of the new livery air carrier on the 26th, Asiana will also be changing its official title of the Economy Class to Travel Class. The reason for changing the official name of the class is to show to our Economy Class passengers that their true purpose of flying is to travel. Asiana will commence converting its new livery on the remaining 60 aircraft starting with 6 this year and eventually finalizing all its aircraft with the new livery within a 5 year period.
