Vanco
Vanco, a company marketing itself as a Virtual Network Operator (VNO), launched a new service on October 17, 2006 called Vanco NetDirect. NetDirect the a web portal that provides a large choice of telecoms infrastructure for designing, pricing, purchasing and maintaining data networks in the US and worldwide.

Vanco NetDirect allows carriers, cable companies, system integrators and large enterprises to purchase data networks from their desktops. Data networks are broadband, either DSL or cable, and private line connections to the Internet and private networks (MPLS), which enable companies to connect their computer systems anywhere around the world.
Vanco NetDirect enables customers to custom design their data network to their requirements. The target market for Vanco NetDirect is a company that needs to purchase network infrastructure. This includes telecoms carriers and cable companies that want to extend their network reach to produce more competitive solutions for their end user customers, and large enterprises and systems integrators who want network solutions.
Vanco CEO Allen Timpany said, "There are only a very few carriers that have global reach but almost everyone has multinational customers. With Vanco NetDirect telecoms providers can now offer their customers additional network capability on a global scale at a competitive price." He went on to emphasize that "This is about helping carriers win more business and at better margins, and about meeting the needs of the largest enterprise customers in the world."
Wayne Churchill, CEO of Vanco NetDirect, also stated that "To be able to offer such comprehensive and competitive solutions globally, you have to be independent and deliver connectivity via the local or regional providers of DIA and MPLS." The new CEO also said, "The cost of networks for enterprise customers is decreased and service quality is improved by using high quality local infrastructure with greater density than is provided today by the handful of international carriers. For example, Vanco NetDirect can provide greater DSL access to the Internet as well as MPLS coverage than any other network provider in the world."
Vanco was listed on the main market of the London Stock Exchange in 2001 as VAN. Vanco does not own telecoms assets and therefore has the freedom to recommend the most appropriate copper, fiber, and wireless transmission on a global basis. It provides enterprise clients, directly or through partners, with costeffective optimized and fully managed network solutions. Carriers can also extend their off-net reach with a service light offering through Vanco NetDirect.

Since flotation, Vanco has doubled revenues every two years, and now has total contracts valued at over half a billion dollars. Its 18 year track record has an annual revenue growth of 35% or more per year while consistently making real operating profits.
With solutions available in 230 countries and territories, Vanco is selected by the world's largest organizations to provide network solutions. Its clients include Accor Hotels, Asia Netcom, AT&T, Avis Europe, Bell Canada, British Airways, Comcast, Ford Motor Company, IBM/Lloyds TSB, Siemens, telecoms Italia Sparkle, Telus, Virgin Retails, and XO Communications.
Through the Vanco network solution clients get access to the greatest geographic coverage available through a single provider. Vanco offers flexibility to customize and adapt the solution in line with market changes, technical developments and business priorities.
Vanco is recognized by the industry for its financial success and world class customer service delivery. A significant proportion of its investment capital goes into customer care which is reflected by the awards that it has won, independent market research and client retention that it enjoys.
Vanco's key difference is that it is not tied into a specific technology or a single network; instead it builds a network solution that the client wants and which gives them the best combination of availability, performance and security.
Importantly from the client perspective, Vanco has the flexibility to be able to adapt the technology and carrier solutions underpinning the network throughout the lifetime of the agreement to support changing client priorities and requirements.
