SEOUL, KOREA - YD Online released an outlook for its financial performance in 2013. YD Online said it expects to register 43 billion won in sales, and 6 billion won in operating profits in 2013. These figures represent a year-on-year growth of 17 percent and 3,000 percent, respectively, the highest since 2009.
Key factors behind its rosy forecast include the signing of publishing contract for Fiesta Online which chalked up more than 20 billion won sales per year in North America and Europe, and the upcoming service launch of its online game Soul Master in the global markets, including China. Another factor is its entry into mobile SNS business and the release of more than 20 new mobile games in various genres.
In addition, YD Online's Gwangju G&C Center, the first of its kind in Korea to provide mobile operation agency business, recently signed a service operation contract for Brave Generals of the Three Kingdoms, released by a mid-sized game company Webzen Mobile.
