The Embassy of Belgium feted the country's King's Day on November 15 at the Grand Hyatt Seoul. The Regency Ballroom of the Hotel was full of guests from the business community at home and abroad as well as the Seoul diplomatic corps. Many ambassadors were on hand with their wives including France Ambassador Philippe Thiebaud to Korea, Costa Rican Ambassador Pedro Goyenaga Hernandez to Korea, and Austrian Ambassador Wilhelm Donko.
Diverse Aspects of Oman Attracts Seoul Diplomatic Corps
Oman National Day celebration held on November 20 at the Lotte Hotel Seoul was a good opportunity for the Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in Seoul to be able to introduce diverse aspects of the country including travel and bilateral relations to the Seoul diplomatic corps as well as participants. Regarding the country's economy, Ambassador Moosa Hamdan Al Taee said: "Vision 2020 aims to provide an ongoing and comprehensive framework for the Omani economy."
Festa Italiana in collaboration with the Italian Embassy, EUCCK
In the month of November, EUCCK held its Network Club function in collaboration with the Italian Embassy presenting Festa Italiana, a celebration of Italian culture on Thursday, November 9, 2006 at the Kukhwa Room, Millennium Hilton Hotel Seoul. This event featured a live Italian band from Rome with lead singer Elena Bonelli, Italian cuisine, and a special charity raffle where proceeds will be donated to Anna House, a South Korean charity organization lead by Father Bordo, dedicated to helping the under-privileged in Korea.

EUCCK organized a luncheon meeting with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of MOFE Kwon Oh-kyu on November 22 at the Hotel Shilla. Deputy Prime Minister Kwon stressed in his speech for participants: "The Korean government will actively pursue the Northeast Asian Financial Hub Initiative to bring Korea to the next level as one of the top three regional financial hubs by 2015, along with Hong Kong and Singapore."
Eve Function for Participants of Turkey Investment Seminar
In the eve of investment environment seminar for domestic corporations' investors which was held on November 17 at the Korea Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KCCI), Turkey Ambassador Deniz Ozmen and Mrs. Bilge Ozmen held a welcoming dinner for the seminar participants from Turkey at his Namsan residence where a night view of Seoul is very beautiful. The Turkish seminar included a talk about Turkey's economic outlook and investment policy direction, Southeast Anatolia development project introduction, Turkey privatization program, and so on.
