SEOUL, KOREA - LG Electronics announced on May 30 that it will release its strategic smartphone Optimus G Pro in Asia, starting from Hong Kong next month. The Optimus G Pro for the Asian market will be mounted with a Value Pack Upgrade as a basic option. The Value Pack will contain the features such as dual camera, recording pause, and smart video.

For the Korean market, Optimus G Pro Upgrade was released in April 2013. The smartphone model is mounted with a 5.5-inch large-screen full HD IPS display, with its resolution two times higher than those of existing HD-class models.
The Optimus G Pro is appointed with the U.S. Qualcomm's 1.7-GHz quad-core processor, a 13-megapixel camera, and a 3140mAh battery.
The Optimus G Pro passed the 500,000 mark in sales in just 40 days after launch in February 2013, the fastest record among LG smartphone models. Thus far, the Optimus G Pro was sold more than 800,000 units.
