SEOUL, KOREA - Lotte Mart is carrying out "environment-friendly" management in various forms at its 244 stores throughout the country. The company participated in the Ministry of Environment's green store designation project with its 43 stores being designated as green stores, the largest among those joining in the project.

Lotte Mart is beefing up efforts to develop and house more environment-friendly products. It is now selling as many as 1,700 environment-friendly products, including those with environment indication certifications, carbon record indication certifications, and organic certifications.
Lotte Mart is also proud of its environment-friendly stores. By investing 23 billion won, It installed 3,721-kilowatt solar power facilities at its 39 stores throughout the country. With these facilities, Lotte Mart produces up to 4.75 million kW of electricity per year. For the first time among Korea's retailers, Lotte Mart also joined the Environment Ministry's electric car charging infrastructure project and set up electric car charging stations at 13 stores.
