SEOUL, KOREA - Hyundai Heavy Industries' construction equipment sales is showing signs of recovery.The company announced on May 31 that its construction equipment division obtained $370 million orders in April, up $120 million each from the figures of February and March.
The April figure represents a 3-fold increase compared to the figure recorded in December 2012.
Although the April figure is about 10 percent less than those recorded a year ago due to sluggish sales in China, HHI's construction equipment sales is showing signs of recovery thanks to its strengthened marketing in emerging markets such as Kazakhstan and Turkey.
As part of efforts to promote its products throughout the world, the company participated in more than 10 construction equipment exhibitions, including the Plant Works of the UK, the Astana Build 2013 of Kazakhstan and the Komatek of Turkey, in May alone.
