Kotra, Business to Business e-Trade
The Korea Trade Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) posted US$6.55 million in exports through business to business etrade of small and medium-sized companies during the June-December period of this year.
Business to business e-trade refers to services that link an existing electronics trade system with an electronics settlement system and an electronics trade conclusion system in order to enable small and medium-sized companies to engage in export consultations with foreign buyers without flying to foreign countries.
According to KOTRA, 344 small and medium-sized companies engaged in a total of 1,180 cases of export negotiations and succeeded in concluding 51 cases of export contracts worth US$6.55 million. As negotiations for the business to business e-trade were active in October and November in 2006, smaller companies are expected to enjoy exports of over US$20 million during the February-March period of 2007, a KOTRA spokesman said.
