A 50 year old company in the business of accessories

Cresyn Co. Ltd. (www.cresyn.com) has been in the audio accessory industry since 1959.

They have a reputation of developing excellent quality earphones, headphones and Bluetooth headsets that deliver superior audio quality. They also make quality chargers and speakers, and are entering the digital camera module market. In addition, they manufacture remote control hardware. They are known as one of the best manufacturers in Korea in terms of technology and quality.

Many companies with household names use Cresyn accessories in an OEM relationship. Among them are Sony, Panadonis, Aiwa, JVC, Audiotechnica, Sharp, Kenwood, NEC, Creative Labs, Motorola, Samsung and LG.

The company has equipped its facilities with the technology to make core components and finished products, in order to make products worthy of the approval of those major brands. The company employs over one hundred qualified engineers, some trained in the United States. The company also spends 15% of its budget in research and development. This gives the company the tools it needs to develop cutting-edge designs that meet the high standards of its customers and partners.

The company operates six factories. Three are located in China, one is in Indonesia, and two more are located at home in Korea. These factories have a monthly output of 25 million units. This assures the company of the ability to fill volume orders of any size at competitive prices.

The sales revenue of Cresyn for the year 2005 totaled at US$270 million, and the company has operating capital of US$3.7 million. There are over 200 employees in the head office in Seoul, Korea, and at least 12,000 employees overseas in China and Indonesia.

The company was originally founded by Lee Jinkee as the Daehan Phonograph Needle Factory in 1959. In 1981 the company started to manufacture stereo headphones.

Later on in that same year the company was incorporated as Shinwoo Audio Co. Ltd., by Lee Jong-bae. It moved into the Japanese and Indonesian markets as Shinwoo Co. Ltd. in 1990. It completed the construction of a second factory in Jechon, Korea, in 1992. The company received ISO 9002 certification in December 1995, and ISO 9001 certification in December 1998.

Events moved more rapidly for the company after the year 2000. It established another factory in Dongguan, China, in 2001, and changed its named to Cresyn in the year 2002. The next year, 2002, saw the company receiving TL 9000 certification. Soon after that, in the same year, the new and current president Jin Na was inaugurated. After that, the company quickly received ISO 14001 certification in 2003, and built two more factories in China which were finished by 2005.
