SEOUL, KOREA - LG Electronics' latest smartphone Optimus G Pro was given a lower rating than its rival Samsung Electronics' Galaxy S3 and Galaxy S4 by U.S. consumer magazine Consumer Report. Worse yet, Optimus G Pro was given a lower rating than its previous version Optimus G.
According to the online edition of Consumer Report, Optimus G Pro scored 77 points (based on the models released by AT&T), lower than 78 points for Galaxy S3 (16 GB) and 81 points for Galaxy S4.
Optimus G Pro's 77 points were also lower than Optimus G (79 points) and HTC's One (79 points).
Optimus G Pro earned an "excellent" rating in five out of ten evaluation categories—user convenience, message, web browsing, display and battery, a "very good" rating in the category of camera performance, and a "good" rating in the areas of the quality of voice calling, telephoning, and camera-video quality. In the areas of portability, however, it was rated "fair."
