SEOUL, KOREA – South Korean MVNO (Mobile Virtual Network Operator) Annex Telecom said Wednesday it will launch LTE intra-carrier and inter-carrier free unlimited voice call plans on July 1.
Three intra-carrier free unlimited voice call plans - WHOM intra-carrier 35(LTE), WHOM intra-carrier 45(LTE) and WHOM intra-carrier 55(LTE) – and three intra-carrier/ inter-carrier free unlimited voice call plans -WHOM unlimited 67(LTE), WHOM unlimited 77(LTE), WHOM unlimited 97(LTE) – will be launched.
On top of that, Annex Telecom will introduce “WHOM 100% Unlimited 129 (LTE),” a payment plan that offers free intra-carrier, inter-carrier voice calls and unlimited data services.
Furthermore, unlike the previous LTE plans, WHOM LTE unlimited plans allow subscribers to carry over their unused data allowances to the next billing period.
The basic structure of Annex Telecom’s payment plans is not so much different from KT’s, but Annex Telecom plans to tack various products onto their payment plans and offer additional discounts so as to attract smartphone users with lower service charges than South Korea’s three MNOs (Mobile Network Operator).

알뜰폰 사업자 에넥스텔레콤이 롱텀에벌루션(LTE) 무제한 요금제를 7월 1일부터 제공한다고 26일 밝혔다.
망내 음성통화 무제한 요금제인 `WHOM 망내 35(LTE)` `WHOM 망내 45(LTE)` `WHOM 망내 55(LTE)` 3종과 망내외 음성통화가 모두 무제한인 `WHOM 완전무한 67(LTE)` `WHOM 완전무한 77(LTE)` `WHOM 완전무한 97(LTE)`를 출시했다.
망내외 음성통화와 데이터까지 무제한인 `WHOM 완전무한 129(LTE)`도 선보였다.
`WHOM LTE무제한 요금제`는 기존 LTE요금제와는 다르게 데이터 이월 혜택까지 적용된다.
기본적인 구성은 KT와 동일하지만 다채로운 상품과 함께 구성하고 추가 할인을 적용해 MNO보다 저렴한 요금제를 제공할 계획이다.
문성광 에넥스텔레콤 사장은 “알뜰폰도 MNO와 동일한 혜택을 누리면서 MNO보다 저렴한 요금으로 사용할 수 있다는 인식을 심어 알뜰폰 활성화에 기여할 것”이라고 말했다.
