SEOUL, KOREA – LG Electronics’ 55-inch, 65-inch UHD (ultra high definition) TVs have passed picture quality tests conducted by the UK’s certifier Intertek and the US’s UL. Intertek and UL evaluated LG Electronics’ 55-inch, 65-inch UHD TVs in 10 categories, including contrast ratio, color accuracy and viewing angle. Intertek and UL LG said LG Electronics’ 55-inch, 65-inch UHD TVs beautifully rendered 3D videos at a UHD resolution of 3840 pixels × 2160 lines. Armed with high-resolution data processing technologies, UHD TVs are capable of reproducing UHD videos without any compromise and upgrading HD images to ultra HD levels.

LG전자 55•65인치 초고화질(UHD) TV가 규격인증기관인 영국 인터텍과 미국 UL이 실시한 화질 성능 검증을 통과했다. 인터텍과 UL은 명암비•색정확도•시야각 등 10여개 화질 항목을 심사했다. 3D 영상을 재생할 때 UHD 해상도(3840×2160)를 완벽하게 재현한다며 합격점을 줬다. UHD TV는 고해상도 데이터 처리 기술로 UHD 화질 영상을 손실 없이 표현하며 일반 HD급 영상도 울트라HD 해상도에 맞게 선명하고 부드럽게 보정해준다.
