The Ministry of Information and Communication (MIC) is actively supporting the active role of small and medium sized IT companies in attracting foreign investment.

MIC supported President Seo Seung-mo of the Korea IT SME and Venture Business Association (KOIVA) to open an investor relations (IR) conference on September 19 in the Renaissance Yangzi Hotel in Shanghai. Six small and medium sized Korean IT companies will participate in this IR event including JOYMAX, Kiryung Electronics, Gigassoft, Xeno, Seyeon Technology, and Nanonix who are strong in online gaming, RFID, and software. Twenty Chinese venture capital companies including the HINA Group and HMQ will join them at the event along with 32 Chinese IT companies who are interested in small and medium sized Korean IT companies. After the IR, man to man consulting will be held from the 20th to the 21st . Each company is already under appointment with five other companies. Here they will discuss partnerships and possible investment relationships. The MIC believes that Shanghai IR event in China will help Korean IT companies to be competitive in the global market in the future.
