SEOUL, KOREA- Daum Communications announced on July 8 that it formed a strategic alliance with NBT Partners, which developed Cash Slide, the No. 1 mobile advertising platform app in Korea, in the areas of advertising and services.
Under terms of the alliance, Daum Communications plans to make an equity investment in NBT Partnership which has competitive technologies in the mobile advertising platforms. The scope of alliance will expand to create synergy effects through connection with a variety of Daum’s services.
Cash Slide, developed by NBT Partners, is a mobile advertising platform that inserts advertising and contents on the lock screen that people have to view when they turn on smartphones. On Android mobile devices, as many as 6.5 million people subscribe to the service.
A Daum official said, “With the latest strategic investment, we expect to create synergies, as well as to provide more diverse and valuable mobile services.”
