Kim Han-ki, Executive director of the 1st Seoul Guro International Children's Film Festival, officially appointed the two actors as publicity ambassadors of the Seoul Guro International Children's Film Festival and requested them to work hard to promote the film festival.

Then, Lee Sung, Mayor of Guro and the head of the organizing committee for the Seoul Guro International Children's Film Festival, said, “The Guro-gu Office had hosted extreme-short image and film festivals up until last year. However, following a series of internal discussions and reviews, we have decided to hold an international children's film festival that better tallies with our Office’s slogan “Children -friendly District Guro.”

He continued, “Since we hold the first-ever Seoul Guro International Children's Film Festival this year, it would be inappropriate to expect to attain a great amount of tangible results in a short time. Yet, we will gradually address our shortcomings to evolve the film festival into a visual image industry that dovetails with “IT Guro.”” Mayor Lee also called upon film circles to offer their advice and support.
