SEOUL, KOREA- CJ Foodville’s bakery brand Tour Les Jours opened its first store in Malaysia, expanding its bases in Southeast Asia. Tour Les Jours announced on July 23 that it opened its first store location at Bangsar in Kuala Lumpur, the capital city of Malaysia. Bangsar is located in an area where high-end restaurants and cafés and famous foreign brands are clustered.

opened the store through a Master Franchise agreement with a local partner. The store is a 150-square-meter café-type bakery.

Malaysia’s Bangsar is an area that is like Korea’s Cheongdam-dong. Bangsar is about 5 kilometers away from the center of Kuala Lumpur.

A Tour Les Jours official said, “This store achieved the highest opening day sales among our locations in Southeast Asia. The opening day sales were more than 2.5 times higher than we expected.”

Backed by the strong performance of its first Malaysian store, Tour Les Jours plans to aggressively expand its presence further in the country.
