SEOUL, KOREA- Mobile shopping sales peak at 10-11 pm on Saturdays, according to a survey conducted by an online shopping mall service provider Godo Mall. The survey focused on patterns of mobile shopping at Korea’s major mobile shopping malls during the period from March to June 2013.

By hour, mobile shopping peaked at the time from 10 pm to 11 pm, with a share of 17.3
percent, followed by 5-6 pm with 14.8 percent, 2-3 pm with 12.8 percent, and 10-11 am with 11.5 percent. This indicates that an increasing number of consumers conduct mobile shopping through smartphones before they go to bed.

By day of the week, Saturdays accounted for the largest share of 31.9 percent in total mobile shopping sales, followed by Wednesdays with 19.1 percent, Mondays with 16.5 percent, and Tuesdays with 14.1 percent.
