SEOUL, KOREA- Flexcom, a specialist in the manufacture of flexible printed circuit boards, announced on August 7 that it registered sales of 195.9 billion won, an operating profit of 9.9 billion won, and a net profit of 15.5 billion won on a non-consolidated basis for the second quarter of this year.The second-quarter figures are Flexcom’s record-high results in its history. Compared to a quarter ago, its second-quarter sales, operating profit, and net profit each grew by 65 percent, 236 percent, and 206 percent. On a year-on-year basis, sales, operating profit, and net profit rose by 206 percent, 114 percent, and 302 percent, respectively.

Its first-half sales revenue amounted to 314.3 billion won, a figure equivalent to last year’s full-year sales.

To cope with the demand from the global smartphone market and strengthen its cost competitiveness, Flexcom started expanding its second plant in Vietnam from the first quarter of this year. Thanks to an increase in production capacity, the company expects its sales to grow further in the second half.
