SEOUL, KOREA - Kaywon School of Art & Design and Korea IT Times signed an academic-industrial collaboration agreement in an effort to globally promote K-Design on August 12.
Through the agreement, the two parties aim to discover academic-industrial collaboration research projects, report analysis articles on K-Design, and conduct interviews with pioneers in the design sector and cover them in different media outlets. The project also aims to create design jobs, foster new technological design on convergence with Information and Communications Technology (ICT), as well as produce and distribute a volume of products.
The two parties agreed that the core of the ‘creative economy’ should be ‘the convergence of design and ICT,’ adding that in order for S. Korea to secure a global creative economy leadership position, a genuine and sustainable convergence of its design culture and advanced technologies in various industries is needed.

SEOUL, KOREA- 계원예술대학교(총장 이남식) 과 Korea IT Times(주)(발행인 정연수) 는 K-Design의 글로벌 확산을 위해 상호협력 하기로 산학협력 협정서를 12일 체결했다고 밝혔다.
이번 협정서 체결을 통해, 양 기관은 K-Design의 세계화를 위해 ▲산학 공동 연구 과제 발굴 ▲ K-design을 창조하는 선구자들 인터뷰 및 K-design 분석 기사 국내외 보도 ▲ 디자인 전문인력 일자리 창출 ▲ ICT와 융합한 새로운 Technological Design 발굴 ▲K-design 단행본 제작 및 국내외 배포 등을 함께 추진할 계획이다.
양 기관은 창조경제의 핵심이 ‘ICT를 융합한 디자인 ’ 이라는데에 동의하며, 대한민국이 보유한 산업분야별 첨단기술력에 Design문화를 융복합하는 것이 글로벌 창조경제 리더쉽 확보에 앞장설 수 있는 비결이라고 밝혔다.
