
SEOUL, KOREA- LG U+ showed off its new “Home Boy” service at the Xi Gallery in Seogyo-dong in the west of Seoul on August 22. Once the user subscribes to the service that will be available from this week, a Home Boy Station is installed, which consists of a Galaxy Tab 3 and a high-quality speaker dock. The user can enjoy a variety of features installed on the Home Boy Station, including HDTV, audio, phone, e-book, and navigator.
If connected with a smartphone or Internet TV, the Home Boy Station can be used as a closed-circuit TV, a remote control, and a second TV.
If downloading an application onto a smartphone and connecting it with Home Boy, the user can monitor their homes on a real-time basis through the lens installed on the smartphone. If an alarm is set, the application sends a message when a stranger breaks into the home.
If the user connects Home Boy with LG U+’s IPTV service “U+ TV G,” she can use Home Boy as a second TV.
