SEOUL, KOREA- Galaxy Camera that is mounted with a smart function met NX camera that boasts superior image quality. Samsung Electronics held a media day event on August 29 in Seoul where it unveiled its Android OS-embedded mirrorless lens-exchangeable camera Galaxy NX.
A Samsung official said, "The Galaxy NX is our second camera mounted with the Android OS following the first Galaxy Camera. By adding Galaxy Smartphone's innovation DNA with Samsung Digital Camera's optical technologies, we will go for the No. 1 spot in the world's mirrorless camera market."
The Galaxy NX is appointed with an LTE network and an Android JellyBean OS, first among mirroreless lens exchangeable cameras in the world.
The Galaxy Camera, which was released in October 2012, also supported telecommunications network and Android OS. The Galaxy Camera, however, was not a mirrorless camera but a general compact camera. The Galaxy NX enables users to take high quality photos and share them through SNS like Twitter and Facebook.
