Participating at the ceremony, Shim Hak-bong, chief manager of the Robot Team of MOCIE, said that the robot industry, which will be a main industry of the future, has been gaining importance everyday. He says that since Shinhan Bank will be participating as the official bank, Korea's robot industry has earned a strong driving force for its development. In addition, he stated that the ministry plans to achieve a second success after the success of semiconductors by not only inducing the participation of many companies and organizations but also quickening the creation of intelligent robot demand and the development of related technologies.
By being selected as the official bank of Robot World 2007, Shinhan Bank will be performing joint marketing and PR activities for the event. The bank will not only provide donations for the advancement of Korea's robot industry but will also engage in PR activities through the bank's more than 1,000 branches and the premium service Bank Zones nationwide.
In the meantime, Robot World 2007 will be held at COEX from Thursday, October 18 until Sunday, October 21 this year. To be held at the COEX along with Robot World 2007 are International Robot Industry Show 2007 (iRIS 2007), International Robot Contest 2007 (IRC 2007), and Korea Robot Conference 2007 (KRC 2007).
