On the 23rd, foreign investors net-bought 82.5 billion won while institutional investors and individuals net-bought 84.9 billion won and 5.2 billion won, respectively.
By industry, the situation was mixed. Food processing (2.01%) and machinery companies saw their shares rise slightly while those in non-ferrous metal (-1.05%) and electronic and electric (-0.68%) witnessed their share prices go south.
large-cap stocks such as Samsung Electronics, Hyundai Motor, and POSCO fell while others such as Hyundai Mobis, Kia Motors, SK Hynix, Shinhan Financial Group, Samsung Life, and Hyundai Heavy Industries rose slightly. In all, 479 shares rose while 304 declined in the Korea Exchange, with the total transaction volume of 1,901.2 billion won.
