SEOUL, KOREA- LS Mtron, a specialist in industrial machinery including tractors, is enjoying a robust growth in auto parts business. The company aims to record more than 100 billion won in auto parts sales this year, centering on automobile hoses, as well as to achieve the 400-billion-won mark in sales by 2015.According to LS Mtron on September 29, it signed a deal with Hyundai Motor, Kia Motors, and Renault Samsung to supply 50 billion won worth of automobile hoses last month. The company will supply 35 billion won worth of brake hoses for Tucson and Sportage of Hyundai and Kia Motors and 15 billion won power steering hoses for Renault Samsung.

A single unit of automobile requires more than 60 different kinds of hoses. LS Mtron is expanding output centering on high value-added items, including brake hoses, power steering hoses, and CAC hoses. LS Mtron inked a deal with General Motors of the U.S. to supply $120 million worth of CAC hoses in 2009.

The company completed the expansion of its plant in Gumi in North Gyeongsang Province last month by investing 20 billion won.
