SEOUL, KOREA- Nexen Tire announced on September 30 that it was named as a supplier of tires for new cars by Chrysler of the United States. Nexen Tire will supply its tires for two Chrysler models, including the 2014 model of Chrysler’s mid-sized sedan 200 and Dodge Avenger.In addition to this, the company is also engaged in the development of various tire models, including those for passenger cars and pickup trucks.
A Nexen Tire official said, “After the establishment of our plant in Changnyeong last year, many global car makers made visits to it. The latest agreement with Chrysler is one of the accomplishments that we achieved after the completion of the factory.” Nexen Tire plans to beef up efforts to expand its presence in the global new car tire markets, including North America and Europe.
