SEOUL, KOREA - Kakao announced that its new concept mobile music service Kakao Music passed the 5-million mark in downloads, emerging as a new power in the mobile music market. Kakao Music has been serviced jointly with Neowiz Internet which is operating music portal Bugs.
Kakao Music, introduced in September 2013, remains at upper ranks at Apple App Store and Google Play Store after grabbing the top spot there on the first and second day, September 25 and 26.
Kakao Music provides a new concept service in which it enables users to share and hear music together with their friends through a music room they create for themselves.
By being connected with Kakao Story which supports a far wider range of communication with friends, Kakao Music allows users to know what types of music their friends like and, therefore, introduce music that cater to the taste of their friends.
