The Communication Committee announced on May 10 that it has finalized guidelines that high-speed internet service providers should keep to protect their users. The guideline is focused on keeping providers from imposing penalties on users who are to misled to break the agreements by providers.

According to the Committee, internet service providers tend to give additional benefits to users which are not permitted in the members agreement. Users who get the benefits are forced to continue their contracts with the providers in a fear that if they break the contracts for their own needs they can face severe reimbursement penalties by the providers.

So the Committee prevented providers from giving additional benefits to users. And it also ordered in the guideline that providers inform users of the time when the contract expires and is renewed.

The Committee will keep eyes on illegal wrongdoings by high-speed internet service providers and reinforce its efforts to enhance the guidelines in favor of user interest.
