SEOUL, KOREA- LG Chem announced on October 24 that it signed an agreement with Italy's petrochemical company Versalis to supply synthetic resins in Milan, Italy.LG Chemical plans to sell its low-density polyethylene mLLDPE in Europe through Versalis. The low-density polyethylene is used mainly for agricultural and industrial films. LG Chem's low-density polyethylene has no toxic ingredients, thereby being suitable even for food films.
The company said that its low-density polyethylene is a high value-added product with its price more than 20 percent higher than those of general polyethylene.
An LG Chem official added, "With the latest pact, we will to be able to expand our sales coverage not only to Italy but to Europe's other major markets, including Germany and France where Versalis has already established a foothold.
