SEOUL, KOREA- LG Electronics revealed its curved smartphone G Flex on October 28 ahead of its official launch that is scheduled within next month. Unlike Samsung Electronics’ Galaxy Round which has a curved screen corner, the G Flex has bent top and bottom edges.
LG Electronics plans to release the G Flex first in Korea through the nation’s three major telecom companies and later in the global market. The model adopts an RGB method that inserts three sub-pixels of red, green and blue into a single pixel.
LG Electronics appointed its “self-healing” technology to the rear cover of the smartphone, a function that can remove slight scratches on the surface of smartphone cover within several minutes. LG Electronics applied scratch-free films to the rear side of the smartphone cover.
The G Flex is also mounted with a rear key that was introduced first at G2 smartphone. The rear key enables users to control buttons stably and intuitively without using their eyes.
