The ministry will soon select a group of software developers through open competition and shower them with a variety of support measures including 24-hour open development spaces, conference rooms, R&D equipment, and grants. It will provide them with professional mentoring services as necessary.
The number of developers to be selected this year will be about 20 and will be increased by a large margin from 2015 after a thorough review of the program. A ministry official said, "This is a limited-time measure by the government. It must be followed up by the industry itself once it creates a self-sustaining support system."
