SEOUL, KOREA - Hyundai Motor announced on November 5 that it will start selling 2014 version of i40 that features an improvement in quality and appearance. The i40 comes in two types—wagon and sedan. The wagon type model adopts a smart tail gate system that allows drivers to open trunk automatically with a smart key.

For the flagship model D-Spec Trim, Hyundai Motor added a variety of functions, including an integrated drive mode system (eco, normal, and sports mode), remote seat folding system (wagon type), and rear seat side airbag (basic option for all trims). The retail price of the D-Spec Trim, however, increased merely by 250,000 won.

The sales prices are as follows (all based on gasoline engine): Wagon PYL (27.15 million won), D-Spec (30.25 million won), Sedan PYL (26.15 million won), and D-Spec (29.45 million won). The prices of diesel models are 1.7 million won higher than gasoline models.
