Seoul, Korea- Bigsun Systems, a South Korean supplier of wireless local area network (WLAN) solutions, told that it has signed a MoU with Korea IT Times to promote XIRRUS in launching marketing campaigns in the South Korean market.
Under the MoU, the two companies will share information, carry out joint marketing campaigns and implement joint projects in order to facilitate XIRRUS’s marketing activities in S. Korea.
XIRRUS Wi-Fi Array – a new-concept wireless LAN device that utilizes a Wi-Fi router as a base station to help wireless users smoothly connect to a wireless network -- is known to be the most advanced distributed intelligence wireless network solution. A single XIRRUS Wi-Fi Array replaces several wireless access points (AP) and a wireless LAN controller by employing a high-performance directional antenna, which was developed by applying the concept of wireless communications base stations to wireless network solutions.
XIRRUS’s AP high-performance directional antenna comes with data acceptance volumes and radio coverage two times larger than those of other rivaling products. On top of that, XIRRUS’s AP high-performance antenna, packed with Wi-Fi controller functions (e.g. firewalls and spectrum analyzers), is capable of dramatically addressing problems like overlapping channels among wireless networks, signal interference and resultant compromised performance.
“With the ever-widening proliferation of wireless devices, such as smartphones, tablets and laptop computers, high-performance wireless networks have entrenched themselves as an indispensable element. Installing XIRRUS’s products in areas with heavy concentrations of Internet users, such as urban bus stops and university campuses, will appreciably speed up wireless Internet access,” said Tae-il Kwon, CEO of Bigsun Systems.
