The Ministry of Information and Communication hosted the NIA, ETRI, KIST,and 29 national robot-related industry corporations on the 18th to have second national robot industry ceremony at a government building. They started commercial service for 2007 URC robots. URC robots are also called network robots. It is known as ubiquitous robotic companions that provide customized services for users.
The national robot industry is building collaboration between service businessmen, the robot industry, content businesses and components businesses to maximize users' convenience. It is their focus for any user to have access to robots in the most convenient and easy manner.
The second national robot industry association will collaborate to make different models of national robots and work to satisfy each customer. On April 19 to 20, all the participating industries, the NIA and KIST will gather at a workshop to discuss to seek the future together.
