SEOUL, KOREA - Neowiz Games announced on November 12 that it recorded sales of 91.6 billion won, operating profit of 34.9 billion won, and net profit of 9.6 billion won for the third quarter of this year on a K-IFRS basis.
Sales fell by 45 percent year on year and 33 percent compared to a quarter ago. Operating profit, however, rose by 11 percent from a year ago and 45 percent compared to a quarter ago. Overseas business recorded sales of 60 billion won, accounting for 65 percent in total sales, while domestic business marked 31.6 billion won sales.
Despite the reflection of changes in contract renewal terms for Cross Fire in China, Neowiz Games performed well in overseas markets mainly thanks to the strong performances of Archeage and Hello Hero that has been offered by its Japanese subsidiary GameOn. In particular, Hello Hero marked a robust growth, breaking the 1-million mark in downloads in just 50 days after launch.
