The second is that the fact that the IAC is the first substantial international event led by the Daejeon Metropolitan City has the great implication that Daejeon gives itself confidence to its developmental self-survival ability.
Q. What are the spreading effects of the inducement of the IAC 2009
A. If the IAC 2009 Daejeon is held in Daejeon, this will contribute greatly to the development of Daejeon in terms of the economy, society, and culture. Of course, the effects of pure and direct consumption by foreigners are predicted to be about 1.7 billion won. If we consider the indirect effects of the Korean participants and the organization of the event, the economic spreading effects will be higher than expected.
Q. What are your thoughts on the continued mutually beneficial cooperation with the IAF
A. The general assembly of the IAF is a golden opportunity for Daejeon to establish organic cooperation relationships with international astronautical organizations. It looks as though we must actively deal with the establishment of relationships with astronautical organizations, including the NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration), the ESA (European Space Agency), etc, with a new viewpoint and with the principle of co-existence.
