Creative Korea 2013 is a convention launched in a move to bring together creative ideas, creative people, and creative venture businesses. It is based on the theory that knowledge-based capital, such as creative and innovative ideas, skills, arts, know-how and technology generated by individuals and small businesses are a key driver of today’s fast-growing society. With the rise of social networking service, such intangible assets are becoming a dominant force of building up a new era of Korean economy, where creative and innovative intellectual property serves as a significant source of economic growth and job creation.
During the four-day convention held between Dec.12th and 15th at Coex, Seoul, a variety of events, exhibitions, support programs and business opportunities will be provided. The convention is set up in four different zones: participants will have opportunities to explore the power of creative thinking (zone1 - idea), seek start-up advice (zone2 – startup challenge), hear successful stories from leaders of creative economy (zone3 – growth), and learn about the collaboration programs with the government and large corporations (zone4 – collaboration).
Creative Korea 2013 is not just a one-time event; with the goal of realizing creative economy and happiness of Korean people, it will continue to serve as a world-leading information and communication hub for citizens, corporations and the central & local governments.
In line with the Creative Korea 2013 convention, the government bodies and institutions are continuing to strive toward achieving creative economy; and there are also experts from the fields of science & technology, ICT and finance, playing an influential role in shaping the groundwork for creative economy. Among them are Korea Finance Platform Co.
