SEOUL, KOREA - The share of male employees is three times higher than those of female counterparts in Korea’s top-100 companies.According to a survey conducted by job portal Saramin, based on business reports released by 78 out of the 100 companies, the share of male employees is estimated at 74 percent, while that for female workers 26.
Interms of the share of male employees, Hyundai Wia has the highest share of 97.8 percent, followed by Yeochun NCC (97.6%), Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries (97.4%),Kia Motors (97.3%), Hyundai Steel (96.9%), Korea Zinc (96.5%), POSCO (96.0%),Dongkuk Steel (95.9%), Hyundai Motor (95.7%), and Daelim Industrial(94.9%).
LotteShopping came on top in terms of the share of female employees with 66 percent,followed by Hana Bank (62.3%), Dongbu Fire & Marine Insurance (60.3%), E-Mart(57.5%), Asiana Airlines (54.6%), Standard Chartered Bank Korea (52.3%), IndustrialBank of Korea(51.8%), and Samsung Life Insurance (51.8%).
