If he does not love the people,
while he is in official of government,
he is only a theft of clothing officials.
If he does not give his virtues,
while he has succeeded a big business,
he is only a flower withering soon.

책을 읽어도 깨닫지 못하면
책의 노예일 뿐이다.
대의
책을 읽어도 깨닫지 못하면
책의 노예에 불과하고
공직에 있으면서
백성을 사랑하지 않으면
의관을 훔친 도둑에 불과하다.
가르치면서 몸소 실천하지 않는다면
입으로만 선하는 것이며
큰 사업을 세우고도 베풀지 않는다면
잠시 피고 지는 꽃에 불과하다.
