SEOUL, KOREA - Samsung Electronics released a new 5.23-inch smartphone Galaxy Grand 2 on March 13.The Galaxy Grand 2 is designed to target the young people who frequently use multimedia contents like movies and games through 5-inch-plus large screen.
The new smartphone model is a follow-up to the Galaxy Grand which was released last year. The Galaxy Grand 2 is mounted with a 133.3-mm HD display which is 6mm bigger than that of its predecessor model.
The Galaxy Grand 2 is expected to compete with LG Electronics’ G Pro 2 which also focused on maximizing multimedia features with a 5.9-inch screen.
Considering that G Pro 2 features a Qualcomm SnapDragon 800 processor, a rear 13-megapixel camera and a full HD IPS resolution, it is superior to the Galaxy Grand 2 in terms of hardware specs.
ASamsung official said, “The Galaxy Grand 2 would be the best option for those who want to enjoy multimedia without high price burden.”
The Galaxy Grand 2 is mounted with an Optimal Wide View function that has a 16:9 screen ratio. It also supports the core functions of premium Galaxy models, including Group Play, S Translator, and Story Album.
